Traditionally, the Mantap is a pillared outdoor pavilion or prayer hall that is built in front of the temple’s sanctum sanctorum. The mantap consists of a platform with 4 beautifully carved pillars making up the four corners. The four pillars support an ornate roof that is designed in the pyramidical shape of the temple Gopuram. The four pillars of the mandap represent the four aspect of life; Dharma (duty and religion), Artha (wealth), Kama (worldly desires) and Moksha (salvation).

Two panels of the enclosed mantap are elaborately inlaid with images of Lord Ganesha who is deeply revered as the Lord of auspicious beginnings, the remover of obstacles and the God of Wisdom and the Fine Arts. Two young women reverently offer flowers at the feet of the Lord. Two beautiful standing brass lamps are lit before the majestic deity, as it is believed that lighting oil lamps dispels negative energy.
Different wood grains have been aesthetically blended and skillfully inlaid into the highly polished rosewood to showcase the divinity of Vinayaka. Beautiful wooden bells and garlands adorn the roof of the mantap. A single enclosed drawer for puja items is skilfully camouflaged into the ornate pedestal of the mantap.
