Description : wood temple .
Wood Temple :This exquisitely carved wood temple has been deftly crafted from the finest rosewood by expert artisans. The mastery of the artist is seen in the exquisite filigree work and the use of traditional temple architectural styles on the rich texture of wood. Rich floral designs and alpana motifs have been skilfully carved into the wood and have transformed the structure into a breathtaking work of art.
the wood temple is a pillared outdoor pavilion or prayer hall that is built in front of the temple’s sanctum sanctorum. The mantap consists of a platform with 4 beautifully carved pillars making up the four corners. The four pillars support an ornate roof that is designed in the pyramidical shape of the temple Gopuram. Hindus believe that the four pillars of the mandap represent the four aspect of life; Dharma (Duty and Religion), Artha (Wealth), Kama (worldly desires) and Moksha (salvation).
A small carved idol of Lord Ganesha presides at the base of the three tiered gopuram. Beautiful wooden bells adorn the roof of the mantap. Two enclosed drawers for puja items are skilfully camouflaged into the solid pedestal of the mantap.
The product is skillfully finished with a natural lacquer finish that sets it apart as a product of sophistication. High durability and low maintenance mark the exclusive quality of this holy rosewood pedestal. It is designed out of specially weathered wood that only grows more beautiful with age. The boards and panels are chemically treated and are completely termite resistant. This attractive rosewood carved mandap is indeed a masterpiece of craftsmanship and is sure to be the crowning glory of your puja room. This beautiful stand-alone mandap possesses a timeless beauty that makes it an excellent once-in-a-lifetime investment. A favourite of homemakers and interior designers, it is ideally placed as a centrepiece in a lobby of a hotel, school or corporate office.
Care: Keep indoors. Lightly dust the figurine as required. We recommend the use of a mild wood cleaner on a swab of cotton wool.
