Animal draught power is still the chief means of tilling the land and transporting man and materials in the remote little villages of India. A bullock cart is attached to a yolk by a rope. The yoke is placed squarely on the shoulders of sturdy bullocks that pull the cart and its contents with their enormous draught power.
